On 2/9/17 around 10:00 we inspected the property following a complaint. Upon entry the tenants stated they do not have a stove and the refrigerator in the apartment belongs to them. The tenants also stated there is an infestation of bed bugs and other insects City of Oswego City Hall 13 West Oneida Street Oswego, NY 13126 along with a mice infestation. Upon further inspection we noticed there are several areas in the back of the house where the roof is leaking and the landlords fix was to put plywood over the hole on the inside of the house in one area, and in another area they covered the hole with drywall. The bathroom door handle does not work and the floor in the bathroom is rotting and needs to be replaced. The floor in the living room is rotting in several places where the sub floor is falling in. The upstairs bedrooms have no heat forcing the children to sleep in the living room. The front porch of the apartment is rotting and needs to be replaced. The side porch entry`s concrete is crumbling and needs repair. The side porch support post is rotting and needs to be replaced. The chimney on the side of the house is in serious need of repair. The back roof is tarp`ed off and is still leaking into the home. Multiple areas of the City of Oswego City Hall 13 West Oneida Street Oswego, NY 13126 home has peeling paint and rotting wood. Upon entry into the basement we noticed multiple electrical and plumbing issues. The waste water drain for the house is leaking in multiple places and drains into a floor drain that is not secured and is leaking sewage back into the basement of the house. There are multiple electrical boxes in the basement with covers off. The foundation of the home is in need of serious repair in multiple areas. The rental permit is being revoked and the building is being condemned until all issues a resolved.
